Hammamet is a town in Tunisia. Located in the south east of the northern peninsula of Cap Bon, it is home to approximately 70,000 people.
Hammamet enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry with temperatures of 26-30C. Winters are cool with the temperature around 10-13. Spring (March-May) is the best time to visit.
Once a small fishing village, Hammamet has evolved into a popular sea-side resort. Known as the ‘garden resort’, its economy is backed by tourism and agriculture, and its olive, orange and lemon groves.

A valuable experience of the local culture and people who you should take the time to speak to as they are friendly and courteous and want to please on all levels. Take time to experience the local cuisine which is spicy and tasty. Tunisian restaurants are good value for money. Shopping is fun with the bartering culture.
