Nefta is a town of cube-shaped, flat-roofed mud houses built close together. Visit the Ouled Ech Cherif for some of the best preserved traditional houses is Nefta.
A fascinating site here is the Corbeille , a 30m/100ft deep depression which runs through the city, dividing it. It is filled with tall palms and small streams. A walking tour of the corbeille is a must in Nefta. The basin also contains a hot spring , which offers bathing pools for men and women alike.

The domes of El Bayadha are the most revered religious buildings in Nefta. Most of them are zawiyyas, tombs for sacred men and mosques.
The Marabout of Sidi Bou Ali is the tomb of a Moroccan holy man. It has a beautifully decorated burial chamber and prayer hall.
Visit the Zawiyya of Sidi Brahim (Sidi Kadria), the tomb of Sidi Brahim, an important Sufi scholar. This is one of the most important Sufi sites.
Every year the town plays host to two festivals: a Folk Festival held in April and a Date Festival held in November.
