Situated in the Medina area, the Kasbah Mosque is an historic building and is also listed as a Historical Monument.
Believed to be built in 1230, the monument is worth visiting for its beautiful architectural art works. The mosque was destroyed by the French in 1883 and its remains can still be seen, such as a minaret built by the Hafsids in a Moroccan style.
The Mosque is currently being renovated but is worth a visit to experience this ancient architectual wonder.
