The main attraction in Entebbe is the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. It is home to more then 200 animals and bird species. You can take a special forest walk and learn more about the centre, the wildlife and the local herbs.
Explore the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, an indigenous forest with exotic trees, shrubs and plants. It is an exciting site for bird-watchers with a large range of rare bird species living here. Also take the unique spider walk across the gardens on offer here.
Unwind at the Entebbe Resort Beach, a lakeside resort and sail across the Lake Victoria. Stop over at Kigungu, a traditional fishing village and at the Ssese Islands, most of which are uninhabited, and make for a perfect habitat for exotic birds.
The Kibale Forest, near Entebbe, is home to over 300 species of bird and the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa. Take a Gorilla Tracking Safari and search for the elusive mountain gorilla.
