Bulawayo is a city in south-western Zimbabwe. It is the second largest city in the country and is home to an estimated 707,000 inhabitants.
The climate is warm without being oppressive. November to April is rainy and warm, with the dry winter running from May to July.
Known as the City of Kings, Bulawayo was established by the King of the Ndebele in 1871.
Bulawayo is the business capital of Zimbabwe. It is the hub of the transport, manufacturing and food processing industry. The majority of the local population is of Ndebele origin.
