Tourist Guide Lake Kariba:

Lake Kariba is a large, artificial lake situated on the Zambezi River in Kariba, Zimbabwe. Home to several islands like Chete Island, Sekula and Chikanka, it is a unique place with outstanding natural beauty. The town of Krabi is the hub of the lake’s tourist industry and houses about 20,000 people.

The climate in this region is hot all year round with two main seasons: the hot and the cold. Summers are exceedingly hot, and winters are mild and pleasant. October, also known as the ‘suicide month’ by locals, is the hottest month of the year.

Originally a river running through the Tonga region, Lake Kariba was developed after a dam was built. Interestingly, the town of Kariba came into being as the construction workers on the dam had to be accommodated.

Kariba is the most amazing place i have ever lived in, i lived there for 10 years.I moved 2 years ago but i still call it my home. Its is the most heartwarming place someone could ever grow up in, words can never descirbe how much of a wonderfull place it is. Kariba is just magical, it will forever be my amazing home town.

Wonderful. You can now get all your food requirements from Crispy Fresh in Kariba. It is a small, air-conditioned, very clean outlet that sells fresh fruit & veg, good quality meat and bread, dairy produce and most dry goods. You no longer have to transport your own food to Kariba.

I suggest using a Kariba-based destination when going to Kariba and her lake. Some things have changed. Ultimate Leisure Adventures, who are area-based and, in my opinion, very professional, gave us a memorable land and water experience. Magical!
