Lake Kariba has a wide range of exciting activities to offer visitors. Tourists can indulge in bird watching, fishing, walks in the parks, house-boating and much more.
Visitors can also revel in the casinos, restaurants, marinas, water sports and other activities. On nature trails, visitors are bound to meet the varied animal life of the region, which includes Nile Crocodiles, hippopotamus and elephants.
The Matusadona National Park, located on the shores of Lake Kariba, houses a variety of wildlife consisting of fish eagles, buffaloes and elephants. Set amidst tall cliffs, this place is worth visiting for the fine display of nature’s excellence.
Visitors can also hire houseboats to soak in the delightful scenery. Other places of interest are the Lake Kariba National Park and the Victoria Falls.
There is also an annual Tiger Fishing competition held in September.
