Masvingo lies near Lake Mutirikwi and houses an excellent golf course, apart from an Italian memorial church. Visitors can also take a tour of the Queen Victoria Gardens and the Shagashe Game Park.
The Old Fort is a national monument, which is centrally located, and is a historic landmark of the region. Built as a fortification in the ancient times, it is said to be the site of the first ever cricket match in Zimbabwe.
Visitors can enjoy interacting with antelopes, zebras and leopards in the Mushandike Sanctuary, which is at a close distance to this region. The Mutirikwi National Park is a beautiful amalgamation of scenic landscape, manicured trees and granite structures. A must visit for nature lovers, it houses exotic plants like aloe and giant cacti.
Another interesting place is the Great Zimbabwe ruins which are among the largest stone structures in the country.
