The 12 acre Crocodile Ranch construction began in 1979 and had 100 crocodiles. Thirty years down the line, there are more than 20,000 crocodiles at this place. The Crocodile Ranch and Nature sanctuary zoo is located around five kilometers from the Victoria Falls. This farm and a nature sanctuary have lots of species of interesting animals. The ranch itself offers viewers a safe view of these dangerous animals.

The Nile Crocodile is abundant in the Zambezi River around Victoria Falls. Many people are terrified of these Pre-historic creatures so I would recommend a visit to HTML clipboard Spencer's Creek Crocodile Farm, to understand them more and get a closer look at them than one would like to in the wild. The crocodile farm is situated about 5 Kilometres from the town centre and very close to Hotel Mecure A Zambezi. The grounds are set along a natural creek surrounded by tall, shady trees which keeps the temperature down. There are hundreds of crocodiles on display as well as a number of African animals including Lion.
