Hoora is a district in the northern city of Manama, which is the capital of the flat and sandy archipelago of Bahrain. It is locally called the ‘Heart of Bahrain’ and has most of the bars and restaurants of the city.
The climate in Hoora can vary from being extremely hot and humid in summer (July–September), with temperatures rising as high as 35°C, to be cooler in winters (December–March), with temperatures nearing 15°C.
The number of people living within Hoora is unknown, although the district is part of Manama which has an estimated 155,000 people. Apart from catering to tourist needs, Hoora also contains many business establishments, mainly located on its popular Exhibitions Avenue.
