Manama city is located in the far north-eastern corner of Bahrain Island and is the country's largest city with a population of approximately 155,000. It is the most economically progressive country with most of the sales from crude oils, as it the prominent industry.
Situated in the Arabian Gulf, the region experiences an extreme climate. Each area of Bahrain has its own unique character with widely available tourist facilities. Most of the people speak English though the official language of Bahrain is Arabic.
Bahrainis are modest and very friendly. Bahrain’s enjoy occasions such as the Hajj, Ramadan and Eid with their families and friends exchanging gifts except alcohol.
It offers a wide range of local and international cuisines and also American fast food franchises like Burger King and McDonalds can be found everywhere.
The best places to go are areas around Adlyia, Siyadi House, Exhibition Avenue, Museum of Pearl diving, the Soukh, Tree of life and parts of Manama.
