Tourist Guide Sitrah
Sitra, or Sitrah, is a small island city located in the north-eastern region of Bahrain. It is part of the 33 islands that make up one of the smallest nations in the Arab world. Sitra is linked to the Bahraini capital Manama in the north by the Sitra Causeway, which provides for an average of 6,000 cars per hour. The island consists of the main centre called Sitrah and three villages situated around it.
Being in the Arabian Gulf, Sitra has hot, humid summers (June–September) with average temperatures of 35°C and mild winters (November–February) with temperatures reaching below 17°C. The annual rainfall is around 77 m.
The population is now estimated to be more than 45,000 people. Sitra is mainly an industrial region, which is home to the Bahrain Petroleum company and other oil-related ventures.
