Bangar is a small town in Brunei and the capital of Temburong district. Bangar is the administrative centre of the Temburong District of Brunei. The quiet small town is relatively isolated as Temburong is separated form the main part of the country by the Sarawak’s Limbang district. Bangar city is nicknamed as Rainforest city or the interior city. There is just one main road which runs through the town, roughly in the east-west direction. Heading east the road leads to Lawas, Sabah and to the west the road leads to the river crossing over to Limbang, Sarawak.
It is the major source of local quarry where boulders are collected, processed and shipped to stockyards at Bandar Seri Begawan for the construction industries. According to the Census of 2008, the total population of Bangar city is 3,970. It has the density of 472 per Kilometers or 1222.5 square meters. The total area of Bangar is 10.00 kilo meters or 3.9 square meters.
