Kuala Belait is the second largest city in Brunei. It is also the administrative capital of the Belait District. With a population of over 30,000 residents, the city is popularly referred to as just Belait. Kuala Belait means ‘the mouth of the Belait River’.
The city is typified by an equatorial climate with warm temperatures all year round. Summers are hot but the cool breezes alleviate the heat. Winters are generally mild. The city receives considerable rainfall during the months of April to May as well as from November to December.
Initially, Kuala Belait was a tiny fishing settlement with no infrastructure. However, today, the city is the main centre for the oil and gas industry and a major trade centre in Brunei.

If your into small relaxing Town and less traffic jam then Kuala Belait is for you, also recently kuala Belait had New Cinema Theaters and 24 lane Bowling Arena and Affordable Hotels in seria and Kuala belait Town, one last Thing if you have time you should check the Lumut and Jubilee beaches.

Need to build up more shopping complexes just like bandar we do have like The Mall Gadong, Airpot Mall and Times Square. Lack of hotels, no arcade entertainment and swimmming pool for public use. Shops are close up early and in night time not much activities to do except for eating only.

Quiet but safe. Beautiful yet comforting. Lot of oil but lack of developments especially places to do shopping. Not entrepreneur friendly..because most wholesalers and suppliers at Bandar. We have to go to Bandar for our shoppings.

A quite and safe place to live in. But so far, it still can not be considered as one of the must visit place as it is still lacking of entertainment mainly or tourist but it's good for a stroll and there is little things to do.

Queit place, sunny everyday. Beach sand is brown, sea water is not clean because of river. Sand flys on the beach....
