Beijing Capital International Airport is situated about 20km North East of Beijing city center.
It is a prime hub for Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
It is the busiest airport in China in terms of passanger numbers.
The airport has 3 terminals: Terminal 1 mainly serves domestic flights of Hainan Airlines; Terminal 2 serves a mix of domestic and international flights.
This includes International airlines like Air Astana, Air France, Iran Air, SriLankan Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines, while domestic airlines include China Southern Airlines, Shenzen Airlines and China Eastern Airlines.
The newly constructed Terminal 3 serves both domestic and international flights.
The airport has a large shopping duty free area, with several shops selling a variety of authentic Chinese and modern goods, including cosmetics, Chinese tea, tax-free wine and spirit and food.
