1. Great Wall
The Great Wall of China began being built in the seventh century BC to protect the Chinese Empire from invaders. It began as a series of independent walls that was united to form the Great Wall during the reign of the Qin dynasty.

2. Tiananmen Square
Tiananmen Square, located near the centre of Beijing, has unique cultural significance. The site is a symbol to numerous key proceedings in Chinese history.

3. The Forbidden City
The Forbidden City, the imperial palace located in the middle of Beijing, China, was built around 600 years ago. It was the home of the Emperor and his household for almost five centuries.

4. Panjiayuan Market
The Flea market provides a lot of things right from trinkets, treasures to Ming pottery and many village handicrafts too.  There are Yinxing teapots and Tibetan trunks along with junk collections which attract a huge number of tourists and locals alike.

5. Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven is considered to be one of the most holy Beijing temples. The temple was built during the Ming Dynasty in 1420 A.D...
