The Summer Palace located within the Haidian District is the most reputed and well-preserved imperial garden in the world.
The Palace is the largest of its kind that is still in existence in China. The palace is composed of the Kunming Lake and the Longevity Hill while the garden is divided into three zones such as living quarters, sightseeing area and office area.
Longevity Hill is spread across one fourth of the entire area while the Kunming Lake is spread across the remaining three quarters.
The striking previous imperial garden consists of highly decorated halls, pavilions, buildings, pagodas, isles, courtyards, bridges and towers.
The pleasant layout of the garden consists of Chinese architectural masterwork that combines both the riches of the conventional Chinese gardening art and an elegant landscape.
