Beihai Park is an imperial garden situated to the northwest side of the Forbidden City in Beijing. This park was built in the 10th century and is amongst the largest of Chinese gardens and contains many historical important structures, temples and palaces.
This park was open to the public from 1925.
It is spread over 69 hectares and has a lake which covers more than half of the whole park.
