I love to shop and Beijing is a great place for it. However, I had my first bad shopping experience at the Jiayi Market, where I had been shopping for the last 3 years.
In December 2009, I purchased a fur vest from Stall 301. After wearing it just once, it split in several places - at the seams and a piece of fur even became unglued(!) in the back. The shop keeper not only refused to remedy the situation but also tried to charge me for the repair of the vest, saying I had put on enough weight (in one week) to damage the garment! Shopper's beware...
