Shidu is a scenic area beside the Juma River which is to the southwest of Beijing. It’s also known as the “Guilin of North China” and worth visiting for its natural beauty.

On guided tours of Shidu, a tourist can see this wonderful parkland and enjoy the various activities such as hiking, boating and swimming. This scenic destination was designed in 1986 as one of the 16 new scenic spots in Beijing in an attempt to make Beijiong a greener city.

Shidu was approved as a National Geographic Park in 2004.
