Beijing: Attractions and more...
Considering the historical past Beijing could give the impression to be an
ancient city but living there you realize that it has much in common with all
the other metropolis in the world; it is now a modern, fashionable and full
of vitality city with skyscrapers, shopping centre but unfortunately also a
lot of traffic.
Also the cultural aspect of Beijing is close to ours, you find more and more
entertainments from traditional performances as the Beijing opera to modern
dances, concerts, pubs and clubs.
Another sign of actuality and modernity is that Beijing has been selected as the city to host the Olympic Games in 2008.
The climate in Beijing is continental and the annual average temperature is
about 11,8°C. There is a long and cold winter, the temperature in January
is about -4,8°C, the summer is long as well but hot, temperature reaches
about 25,8°C. Spring and autumn are rather short and dry.
