Tourist Guide Dongguan
Dongguan is located in the mid-south of Guandong, north-east of the Pearl River Delta, with Guangzhou to the north, Shenzhen to the south and neighboring to Hong Kong and Macao.
Its land surface is about 2,465 square kilometres and the coastland has a length
of about 115,94 kilometres.
The actual registered population is about 1,5389 million but the temporary one
is estimated to be over 5 million.
Dongguan is an important centre for the economy of China because of its booming industries. One of the most important sectors is IT, Dongguan is a leading city in producing computers and component parts.
The education system is well organized, from pre school to higher education,
and the attendance rate is very high.
