Shandong Provincial Museum
This museum is situated at the base of ‘Thousand-Buddha Mountain’. It enjoys the pride for being the biggest one in this province. Shandong Provincial Museum has a huge collection of historic and natural treasures pertaining to whole of the province. The museum which exists was built in the year 1982. It contains eight exhibition halls. They are ‘Stone Sculptures’, ‘Treasures of Shandong Province’, ‘Ancient Coins’, ‘Warship of the Ming Dynasty’, ‘Fossil Collections’, ‘Art Treasures’, ‘Specimens’, and ‘Dinosaurs’. With respect to size of collections, Shandong Provincial Museum has obtained 7th rank all over China.
Thousand-Buddha Fountain
This monument is nothing but a hill situated on south eastern side of Jinan. It’s known for various Buddha images that were carved from hill’s free-standing structures or rock faces; since times of Sui Dynasty.
