Tourist Guide Lanzhou
Lanzhou is the capital city of north-west Gansu Province in China and is the geometrical center of China.
It is also a center in the northwest in terms of the Silk Road Tourism Ring, telecommunication and transportation. The population of this city in 2004 was 3.2 million.
There are mountains towards the north and the south of this city and the Yellow River flows from the east to the west. This city is located in the temperate zone and the climate is of a semi-dry type with sufficient sunshine.
The ideal time to visit this city is from May to October. This city was a prominent seat of Buddhist learning from the 5th to the 11th century.
