Nanchang can be mentioned as capital of ‘Jiangxi Province’ in south-eastern part of China. It’s well-known for its mountains, lakes, cultural sites, and rich history. Nanchang carved a niche for itself in mid-2006 by being appraised as ‘World Top 10 Dynamic Cities’ by United States News Weekly.
This city is situated at a distance of 60 Km on the southern side of Yangtze river.
Furthermore, it stands on Gan River’s right bank; i.e. just below confluence of it with ‘Jin River’, and at a distance of 40 Km on the southern side of discharge on its part in to ‘Poyang Lake’.
Products like oranges and rice can be referred to as economic staples. There is a plant of ‘Ford Motor Company’ in Nanchang.
This city is also a hub of manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and conventional Chinese medicine.
The climate is monsoon-type.
‘Nanchang port’ is the largest port on Gain river.
Passenger ships have been made available for visiting Dagu Hill, Poyang Lake, and several other attractions.
