Tourist Guide Qufu
Qufu lies at the distance of around 130 Km on the southern side of Jinan, i.e. provincial capital; and at the distance of 45 Km on the north-eastern side of Jining, i.e. sub-provincial city.
Qufu enjoys the pride of being Confucius’s legendary birthplace. It had served as capital of ‘State of Lu’ at the time of Autumn and Spring period.
Cemetery of Confucius, Kong Family Mansion, and Temple of Confucius have been included in the list of ‘UNESCO World Heritage Sites’ since the year 1994. One can call them as main cultural attractions pertaining to Qufu. This city has also played minor role with respect to Yanzhou Campaign that was organized by Chinese communists in the year 1948.
Qufu’s urban population is around 60000; whereas the administrative region on the whole has the population of 650000. So, one can include Qufu in the category of densely populated regions all over the world.
