Tourist Guide Sanya
Sanya is situated in the southern most part in the Hainan province in China. On the south east of the city about 7.5 km away is situated Yalong Bay. It the focus city for china’s Utsul Muslims. It also holds a 108 meter Buddhist Statue of Guanyin which is one of the tallest statues in the world. It is the second most populous city of the island just after Haikou. Its total area is 741.2 sq mi. It has a population of 536,000 as in 2006 and a density of 723.2 sq mi. Sanya being located on the coastline shares a very warm weather all year around.
The average temperature all over the year ranges between 25°c and 26°c. It receives heavy rain annually with numbers reaching up to 1,279 mm per year. Sanya city has been host to many events like the Miss World Contest in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 along with 2007 Mister World Contests and many more. It is also the official training site for training of the Chinese National Beach Volley ball team.
