Located in the centre of the city in People’s square, Shanghai Art Museum is an art gallery in the city of Shanghai, China. The museum has twelve exhibition halls on five floors exhibiting modern and traditional fine arts. The museum also organizes temporary art shows regularly.
Visitors can also get a chance to take part in painting and sketching lessons as well as art lectures with the lecture hall being available for hire .
There is a gift shop situates o on the first floor and a well known Kathleen’s 5 restaurant on the top floor of the museum.
The building was constructed in 1933 as the clubhouse for the race course.
The building comprises of one of the most prominent clock towers in the city.
