After being developed over 50 years, the Shanghai Zoo has become one of the best ecological gardens in Shanghai.  The zoo exhibits and is a home to more than 6,000 animals including South China Tiger, giant panda, golden snub-nosed monkey, great hornbills as well as bractian camels.

 The lush green surroundings with more than 100,000 trees and nearly 600 species planted in the zoo covers area of 100,000 square meters.

It also offers a leisure and amusement area, opportunities for its visitors to increase their knowledge of various animals and understands the importance protecting wildlife and their environment.

It is a perfect destination to for education/recreational purposes.
