Erdaoqiao Market
The Erdaoqiao market is the biggest wholesale and retail market for ethnic minority materials in Xinjiang. At night, the entire area is lit with colorful lights and this is a very imposing and interesting scene.

At the Xinjiang Museum, one can view a huge collection of silk items that belong to varying periods of history, that belong either to the local area or other regions of the ancient Silk Road.
South Pasture

Heavenly lake
About 115 kilometers towards the west of Urumqi, one can view the marvelous Tianchi Lake that exists in the Tianshan Mountain. The height of this lake is 1980 meters above sea level. From this spot one can also see the snow capped and massive Badga Peak.
Red Hill
Red Hill is located at the center of the city of Urumqi. It has a length of 1.5 kilometers and width of 1 kilometer. The hill is made up of impressive red rocks. However, it is regarded as sacred and mysterious. The local citizens consider that it as a holy place and hence worship it regularly.
