Sun Yat-sen
Zhongshan is a city named after the Chinese family name of Dr. Sun Yat-sen to remember his contribution to the renaissance of China. In the Cuiheng Village, the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is built as it is his birth place. In the city center of Zhongshan, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is situated. Both these structures throw light on modern Chinese history. The Sun Wen Xi Road commemorates Dr. Sun Yat-sen and one can view lifelike sculptures and murals on this tourist pedestrian street. These three spots are ranked in the top ten views of Zhongshan.
Wugui Mountain
The Wugui Mountain lies at the mouth of the Pearl River and has an altitude of about 531 meters (1742 feet). Here, one can view a large variety of plants and flowers.
Green Cascade of Yangtze River
The Green Cascade of Yangtze River is about 9 Kms (5.6 miles) away from the city center. It is in fact the Yangtze River reservoir scenic spot. This reservoir is surrounded by hills that are verdant and this greenery is reflected in the vast expanse of water. This place is an authentic Xanadu in the city.
