The people of this city are very humble and can be found engrossed in all type of activities, big and small. That is because employment is on the rise in this part. The marketplaces are good and there are many shops, galleries, hotels and eateries which conduct a good business in spite of the surrounding conditions. Visiting places include the old part of Baucau where the relics of the yesteryears are still found. The area has monuments like the Portuguese colonial area. These are the large colonial houses used by the Portuguese leaders. Other places to look forward to are the churches and some public houses which add a special flavor to the city. Also there is Pousada de Baucau, which is a large hotel covered in pink shades whose restaurant offers a simply magnificent and brilliant view of the ocean side. Recently a few war oriented businesses have been converted to businesses which can be useful for the common man. Thus, food processing, retail and tourism are the industries that have flourished here. The old market of Backau is also a good visiting venue.

BAUCAU IS MY COUNTRY I LOVE BAUCAU. BAUCAU IS GOOD COUNTRY, THEY HAVE ANY BEACH OF THE TOURIST AND ALSO HOTEL. BAUCAU HAS ANY MORE OF TOURIST PLACE.
