A visit to this place reveals almost nothing as everything remains in an utterly damaged state and there are no major recreational or entertainment avenues. The government’s prime venture is the rebuilding of the basic amenities for the locals out here. But still the area has some parks and churches to be taken note of. There are huge salt industries along the shores and are a good source to impart management and technical knowledge. There are also many factories that consume tamarind as a raw product and shell out different varieties of processed foods like sauces, juices and even chocolates. The market places are wide and spacious with many big and small shops but there is never a specialty or uniqueness that they have on offer. There are many eateries or hotels that one can observe in this part. The food served by them is good and of the typical tradition of East Timor. A visit to the sea shore can also be a pleasant venture for a change.
