Hong Kong International Airport is located just off Lantau Island and is the main regional hub of China. It is also known as Chek Lap Kok Airport so as to differentiate it from the old Hong Kong Airport.
It operates twenty-four hours a day and is amongst the busiest airports in terms of both the international passengers and cargo.
The airport is spread across two terminals serving both International and Domestic airlines.
Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd provides scheduled flights to Asia, New Zealand, Europe, Australia and North America.
Hong Kong Express provides flight services to Ningbo, Hangzhou, Chongqing and Ching Mai. Other major names include China Easter Airlines, Dragonair, Malaysia Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
Several Cargo Airlines are also serviced in the airport. An assortment of services and facilities are provided within the passenger terminals.
SkyMart is a shopping center located in Terminal 1, while SkyPlaza is situated in Terminal 2, with many local shops and restaurants.
