Victoria Peak is a major tourist attraction for visitors to Hong Kong. This is the highest point situated on the western side of Hong Kong Island with splendid views of the harbour and the city.
Tourists arrive by tram which takes about 8 minutes to reach the top. From here you can see the Peak Tower which is a 7 story building with a ship like shape where numerous attractions such as ‘Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium’ are located.
Ripley’s is museum with more than four hundred and fifty exhibits. There is also ‘the Peak Explorer Simulator’ which has hi-tech projectors and motion chairs from where you can see some fascinating sights and ‘Madame Tussaud’s Hong Kong’ where more than a hundred wax statues of celebrities are displayed.
The Lion Pavilion on Victoria Peak should not be missed as it overlooks the Kowloon Peninsula and Victoria Harbor which is splendid at night.
The Peak Garden has a variety of birds, flowers and butterflies as well as being a place which provides spectacular views of the city.
