Be careful while venturing out in the sea as there are a number of jelly fish on the beaches which tend to sting anyone who gets into the water. Also be aware of the high tide areas and time as it would be safer not to venture out in the sea during this time.
High tides occur in the low lying areas of Port Blair in the night during the monsoons and hence one is advised to move to safer places or stay away from such areas.
The most convenient way of reaching Andaman is via air from Kolkatta or Chennai, however these are always crowded in the peak seasons, so advance bookings is a must.
While planning a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands it would be best to check out for the weather conditions and the best time to visit is generally in the summer when one can enjoy the water sport activities, whereas in the monsoons it would be advised to carry out indoor activities as venturing out at sea would be risky.
