When to visit
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are situated in the Bay of Bengal and are known as one of the many beautiful islands in the world. This island has many hidden natural beauty worth exploring on land and in deep sea too. The best time to explore this island is from the months of October to May, when the water is crystal clear, giving one a good visibility. This is a land of surf, sea and sand having a tropical climate, never reaching to extreme. One can expect medium to heavy rainfall during the monsoon season from May to mid September and from November to mid December. One has to remember not to visit this island in occurrence of tropical storms and rains late summer cause heavy damage to this beautiful island. Similarly, it is recommended that one can visit this island when it is at its best, which is, from December to April. Travelers can also visit this island during the months of December and January, as this is the precise time of the Annual Island Tourism festival, the Subhash Mela and the Vivekananda Mela too.
