Ramoji Film City has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest film studio complex in the world. It has also bagged the International ‘Golden Pony Award.’
The cost for a guided tour of the film city as well as transportation is as follows – On Sunday, the ticket per head is 4.76 USD (INR 200) on Sunday and 3.57 USD (INR 150) on weekdays.
For children more than 3 years of age, the ticket per head is 3.57 USD (INR 150) on Sunday and 2.38 USD (INR 100) on weekdays. Those who desire to take their own cars inside the premises are charged 16.67 USD (INR 700) per person.
The Ramoji Film City is open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. It is located at an hour’s distance from Hyderabad on the outskirts of the twin cities of Secundarabad and Hyderabad.
The owner of this city is Ramoji Rao, an entrepreneur cum film producer. Within the city, there are palace like structures, airport, railway station, shopping arcades, temples and beautiful rock figurines.
