By virtue of my father's posting in kothapatnam as postmaster during 1967 - 69, we resided in this village and i studied my 9th & 10th classes in BSM ZPH (then it is known by that name, now the name of the school i am not sure, is the same). The immediate entrance of the school welcomes with the statue of 'Lord Saraswathi', which reminds us of 'temple of education / wisdom'.
The village has beautifully constructed temples viz, Rajagopala Swamy Temple; Sivalayam and some more, i am not able to recollect, which are worth visiting. in the Rajagopala Swamy temple, one 'addala mandapam', really worth seeing and of course, the beach near 'pallepalem' (1-km away from kothapatnam), should really be worth visiting because of the facilities like availability of guest houses; not much of public gathering etc. sun rise and sun set is worth watching.
Ideally during December to February months the atmosphere would be very good.
