Tirupati is situated at the foot hills of Tirumalai and is a temple town in Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh state. It is the richest pilgrimage in the world amongst all the religious faiths.
This place has 7 peaks called as Venkatadri, Narayanadri, Vrishabhadri, Anjanadri, Garuradri, Neeladri and Seshadri.
During winter, the temperatures ranges from 10 to 18 degrees Celsius while in summer it may soar up to 42 to 45 degrees Celsius.
The population of this town is 1 million. The people residing here can be seen in modern wear as well as traditional wear called as chira, lungi and pancha. These people practice tonsure and use tilaka (mark on forehead).
All over the city one can hear prayers and songs of Lord Venkateshwara.
