Sri Padmavati Samovar Temple
The temple of Sri Padmavati Devi (the consort of Lord Sri Venkateswara) is located at Tiruchanoor which is approximately 5 kilometers from Tirupati. It is believed that if a person visits Tirumala his visit would bear fruit only if this temple is visited. Every day from 10:30 am to noon Kalyanotsavam (a religious performance) is executed. On Fridays, people can see the idol from 8 am onwards and on other weekdays from 6:30 am onwards.
Sri Govindarajaswami Temple
The Sri Govindarjaswami Temple is a prominent landmark of the Tirupati town. The Lord of this temple, Sri Govindarajaswami is regarded as the elder brother of Lord Balaji. This temple has an impressive gopuram (monumental tower) that can be viewed from a distance. In 1130 AD, this temple was consecrated by Saint Ramanujacharya. The timings for viewing the idol of the Lord are as follows – 09:30 to 12:30, 13:00 to 18:00, 17:00 to 20:45
Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple
In the center of the town of Tirupati, the Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple is located. This temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, Lord Lakshmana and Goddess Sita. During the 10th century AD, a Chola king constructed this temple. Festivals like Sri Ramanavami and Ugadi are celebrated at this temple with great pomp.
