The best gateway for a visit to Bihar may be Patna. Earlier known as Patliputra, the capital of Bihar is amongst the oldest capital cities (2500 years)  with a history of many thousands of years as a regal metropolitan city of the Gupta’s and Maurya’s majestic dynasties.

Nalanda came into being around the 5th century BC and was a prosperous university town with a wide-ranging library and over ten thousand intellects. It was a centre for Buddhist learning.

Rajgir is recorded to be the old capital of the Magadha empire, and it is situated 19 kms from Nalanda.

According to history, Lord Buddha used to preach and meditate at this monastery during his numerous visits.

Because of Lord Mahavira on spending a good portion of his life here, Rajgir is a place holy to the jains too.

Hazaribagh : the literal meaning of Hazaribagh is thousand gardens. Located at a height of approximately 2000 ft. above sea level, this place is a famous hill resort.

Consisting of a national park and wildlife sanctuary this place is an all time favorite for tourists.
