Surajkund

About 8 kilometer away from South Delhi exists Surajkund. Here, one can view a huge sun pool and an amphitheatre. This was built by Raja Suraj Pal of the Tomar dynasty in the 10th century AD.

Badkhal Lake

Badkhal Lake is very close to New Delhi. It is possible to have a simple boat ride or kayaking or canoeing in this place. There also exists a luxury yacht. During the winter period, one can have a magnificent view of the lake along with the activity of birds.

Karna, that is a man-made lake. This has been named after the hero of the epic Mahabharat. It is located on National Highway No.1. .

During the winter, one can see geese, ducks, darters and pied crested kingfishers on this lake.
