In the North Sikkim a must visit is Mangan, that is the district headquaters of this place. The Mangan Bazaar (market) consisting of about 50 shops is worth a visit.
Chungthang, Yumthang Valley, Kabi Longtsok, Gurudongmar are few other places in this area which shouldn’t be missed.
In South Sikkim Namchi, the headquaters of this district, literally meaning ‘Sky high’ is a good place for a small vacation and village expeditions.
Other places worth a visit are Ravangla, Temi Tea Garden, Sikip.
In East Sikkim there are the Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Deer park, Flower shows, Ridge park, White Hall, Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok that are places worth a visit. The Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Centre is a gorgeous Tibetan monastic institution situated on a hill top.
TheWest area of Sikkim hosts instead the Pemayangtse monastery, that is one of the oldest monasteries located in Sikkim which was constructed approximately in the 18th century.
The other tourist attractions are the Khecheopalri Lake, Yuksom, Tashiding, Uttaray, Versay, Bisthang, all closely linked to Gangtok.
