Tourist Guide Itanagar
This is a Hill Resort of Itanagar and is the capital of the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh.
Itanagar is also known as mini India, as people from all over the country, live here in harmony and the main tribe is called Nishis. Situated at the foothills of Himalayas with a population of 34,970 it is also well connected with the rest of the country by road and air communications.
Itanagar also houses the official residence of the Govener and the city recently engaged in an attempt to preserving the centuries old heritage of the tribal communities in the area.
Also located close by is the plains of the Brahmaputra River.
Itanagar experiences a subtropical and alpine climates which enables it to be pleasant all through the year, with monsoon rains between the months of July and September with an average rainfall received of 260 cm annually.
The best time to visit Itanagar is between October and March
