Pasighat: Attractions and more...
This sanctuary lies at a distance of 13 Km from the city. Moreover, it’s one amongst a few sanctuaries that are situated on the island. Tourists need to cruise via river Siang, of course by boat for reaching this sanctuary. From September to February, loads of ‘migratory birds’ such as Wild Ducks, Cranes, Hornbills, Water Fowls, and Storks come over here all the way from far-off places; thereby having it made a ‘bird’s paradise’. Buffaloes, Wild Elephants, deer, and little predators are found in abundance as well. One who is lucky would get to see the tiger.
Pangin
Situated at the distance of around 60 Km from the location, connected through road, Pangin goes on to have stood at the point where ‘River Siom’ happens to meet River Siang; thereby presenting a marvelous sight. Siom’s blue waters meet Green waters of Siang. The sight just cannot be missed out.
