Majuli
Majuli is the largest riverine island in the world and the prime location for pilgrimage of the Vaishnavites of Assam right from the Ahom days. The Vaishnava religious creed has many Satras (sub parts) out of which the most prominent are Kamlabari, Garamur, Dakshinpath and Auniati.
Bangalpukhari
Towards the south of Jorhat and close to Na-ali, there is a tank that is named as Bangalpukhari. It is said that Rupsinghh Bangal murdered Badan Barphukan while he was on his way to take a bath in the Hindu month of Sravana in the year 1739 (as per Hindu calendar). Bangal received some money for this act which he used to excavate the tank. The local people here do not use the water of this tank as the place is associated with murder.
Bilvesvar Siva Temple
The Bilvesvar Siva Temple is located almost 35 kilometes towards the north of Jorhat. It is a small and old temple to the side of South Trunk Road where there is also a tank. All this structure is constructed by Rucinath Burgohain.
Garh Ali
To safeguard the Ahom kingdom from the Moamarias, a huge embarkment was built from Seoni Ali to the Naga hills. Due to this construction, the Moamarias were confused and so this place is also called as Bibuddhi Ghar.
