Tourist Guide Nalbari
Nalbari has an elevation of around 42 meters, i.e. 137 feet. It’s northern side has been bordered by ‘Indo-Bhutan International boundary’; whereas southern side has been bounded by mighty ‘Brahmaputra’. The Kamrup and the Darrang district lies on the eastern side and Barpeta District on the western side.
Nalbari city is situated on National Highway no. 31; better known as NH 31.
The climate is sub tropical with cold winters and dry summers.
As per 2001 census, population of Nalbari was 23177; out of which male population was 52%25, and female population was 48%25. Literacy rate of this place was 79%25; much higher in comparison with national average; i.e. 59.5%25. Literacy on the count of males was 83%25; whereas that of females was 75%25. Around 11%25 of population on the whole was below the age of 6 years.
