Dibru-Saikhowa National Park stands at a distance of 13 Kilometers from ‘Tinsukia’ town. Its total area is of 340 sq. Km. This park is basically divided in to 7 parts. One part out of them is wet; whereas the remaining part consists of dense forests and grassland.
Prime attractions with respect to Dibru-Saikhowa National Park include white-winged wood-duck and semi-wild horse. The other animals which are found over here include elephant, clouded leopard, slow loris, capped Langur, Indian wild water buffalo, Gangetic River Dolphin, samber, Indian wild dog, and many more. Moreover, around 250 varieties pertaining to migratory and local birds are present over here. One would also find great variety with respect to orchids within the park.
Finest time for paying a visit
The period between November and April is the best one to pay a visit to Dibru-Saikhowa National Park.
