Tourist Guide Darbhanga
The city and its surrounding places are politically and culturally active, but poorest in India on all social indicators. However, Darbhanga is considered as the cultural capital of Bihar having rich musical, literary traditions and folk art continuing from centuries.
Darbhanga is well connected with other parts of India and Bihar through a network of railway roads and lines. The average elevation of the city is 48 meters which is 127 feet. As per the 2001 census, the city had a population of 266,834.
Darbhanga is somewhat dry and healthy with 3 well marked seasons, winter, summer and the Rainy season. The cold weather begins in the month of November and continues till the month of February. The month of May is very hot when temperature sky rockets to 107 degree Fahrenheit.
